Description
Jr. 2nd Lt. Stinson Asbury Freeman is writing to Nettie (Jennie A. Grace) in Georgia and he starts with referencing her previous letter saying Sallie was mad with him. Since he had nothing to do that evening he was going to write her a short letter, but couldn’t think of writing to Sallie without a word for her (Nettie). The letter goes on to express he is basically lovesick and would give anything to spend the afternoon with her and his misfortune to be away from all those who love him.Has envelope and written in a pale ink it says Lt. S. A. Freeman, Charleston, S.C. to Miss Jennie A. Grace, Salbotton, Georgia. Stamp on back is 10 cent blue Jefferson Davis.
Jr. 2nd Lt. Freeman was with the Georgia 6th State Troops, Co. D. He enlisted on October 18, 1861.
