Description:
A beautiful and good fine or better Banknote from Serbia. This is the Belgrade 1 May 1942 Five Hundred Dinara or Dinars. The banknote has brown design on multicolored background on the front. The front depict a shirtless farmer sowing seeds to the right and the Serbian arms top left. The note is inscribed in Cyrillic again in brown with serial numbers in black. The back also has the same color scheme as the front and shows a design of a farmer harvesting, again white shirtless. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. It has two signatures on the front. This particular note has the serial number 07877459 displayed once in black on the front with the number B.0316 and the number 459 also displayed on the front. The paper of the note is relatively thin and still retains some of its original stiffness. The note has a watermark of a man with a mustache in the white circle to the left. This is a one year issue banknote. Please carefully view scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition:
I would grade this banknote as a good fine with all the details being very well preserved. This is an attractive note with evidence of handling and some wear. It does have a number of vertical folds and several creases on angles throughout. The note may also have been flattened. The note shows some soiling, darkened lines along some of the creases but no objectionable large or distinct staining. The note shows considerable circulation with many folds, creases and wrinkling. The edges of the note show handling with one or two minor tears in the border area. These tears do not extend into the design. The corners are intact with minimum rounding if any. It has no holes, pinholes, but has a small area with graffiti which can be seen in the top margin of the front left of center. The colors of the note are clear but not bright. It does have an overall desirable appearance. Please see scans for additional condition information.
